FOUR LANING OF BADARPUR-CHURAIBARI SECTION OF NH-37 & NH-8 FROM DESIGN CHAINAGE 38.600 (END OF PROPOSED BADARPUR BYPASS) TO KM. 62.800 (START OF PROPOSED NILAMBAZAR/ CHERAGI BYPASS) IN THE STATE OF ASSAM (PACKAGE-IV) ON HAM MODEL.

The Government of India had entrusted to the Authority the development, maintenance, and management of National Highway No. 08, including the section from km 38.600 (Design Chainage) to km 62.800 (Design Chainage) (approx. 24.20 km). The Authority had resolved to augment existing road from km 38.600 (Design Chainage) near end of Proposed Badarpur Bypass to km 62.800 (Design Chainage) near start of proposed Nilambazar/ Cheragi Bypass (approximately 24.20 km) on Badarpur-Churaibari Pkg-4 in the State of Assam by Four-Laning thereof(the “Project”) on design, build, operate and transfer (the “DBOT Annuity” or “Hybrid Annuity”) in the state of Assam.

PROPOSAL FOR IMPROVED CONNECTIVITY

PROJECT SITE
The Existing Site of the Two Lane Project Highway comprises the section of National Highway 37 & 8, commencing from 38.600 to 62.800 i.e., end of proposed Badarpur Bypass to the start of proposed Nilambazar/ Cheragi Bypass in Badarpur Churaibari section in the State of Assam. The construction package for the project includes developing the existing two lane carriageway to four lane from km 38.600 to km 62.800.
